I propose to design through a transformative experience in which hotel and gallery spaces converge, a unique, luxury hotel where visitors can attain new
meaning of modern art and design. At the Epoch Hotel in the Joseph H. Hirschhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, guests encounter a unique hotel experience while gaining a new understanding of Modern art and design. This private hotel grants guests a behind the scenes pass to the world beyond museum galleries and invites the luxurious pleasures of an intimate experience with fine art. The hotel blends modernist art, design, and hospitality while creating a symbiotic relationship between the hotel's modern interior décor and the Hirschhorn's modern art collection. The interior design of the hotel is based on the research of modern interior design, decorative arts, architecture, and fine arts.
